    Supporting the balance of energy:

Acupuncture is an ancient medical practice that uses sterile hair-thin needles to activate and balance the body's energy or qi (chi). This ancient practice is rooted in Yin-Yang Theory, meaning everything is about balance. The needles are simply the messenger (because metal conducts energy) to bring qi back to balance!

    How acupuncture works

The body is made up of a mapped system through which energy flows. This system is comprised of Acupuncture meridians or channels. Along the meridians, there are areas where energy is concentrated called Acupuncture points. Points are activated by the insertion of needles to help reduce pain and fevers, to increase energy, decrease anxiety and so much more. The Acupuncturist decides, based on the the information gathered during the initial intake, what acupuncture points will best fit the patient's needs. Acupoints are literally all over the body, from head to toe, front and back.

Benefits the nervous system and stress management

When a person feels pressured, overwhelmed, anxious or fearful, their sympathetic nervous system becomes activated and the body responds as though it's in danger. Energy is then focused on supporting defensive measures, rather than necessary life functions such as; digestion, proper blood flow and brain activity. Acupuncture can support the nervous system by bringing the body back to balance, allowing it to operate within the healthier, parasympathetic nervous system. Life is a lot less scary and way more beautiful than we are often able to recognize. This is due to our brains and bodies constantly operating in "sympathetic mode." Acupuncture helps to give your mind and body a new, healthier and more enjoyable perspective, by releasing the body’s feel good hormones, such as dopamine and serotonin.

    Reducing pain

If there is one thing acupuncture is known for, it's helping those who suffer from pain. The theory of acupuncture is rooted in the belief that energy flows within us and when that flow is thrown off, pain (among many other issues) will arise. Acupuncture helps to rebalance the flow of energy, thus reducing pain. Once the needles are inserted, a process of chemical reactions take place. A release of histamine is one of those chemical reactions. Histamine alerts the body there is something wrong. The body begins to engulf toxins and damaged tissue, along with bringing oxygenated blood to the area. In conclusion, there are two different ways acupuncture works. One, needles are placed near the problematic area(s), literally activating the energetic healing process at the source of the problem. Two, the needle is placed in an acupuncture point which energetically tells the body help is needed and signals the acupoint to do it’s job.

    Increases immunity

When someone receives acupuncture, the immune system reacts by decreasing the release of inflammation-causing cytokines. Acupuncture also supports the immune system by increasing helper T cells and NK cells (cells that are great at fighting viruses and bacteria). In turn, acupuncture keeps the body's defense system rested and strong!

The idea behind Homeopathy is using “like to cure like”. Therefore utilizing homeopathic solutions with diluted collagen will help the body produce more collagen in and around the injection sites.

Acupuncture Points are also used in conjunction with Homeopathic Injections. By injecting into Acupuncture Points on the face and neck, it helps to activate each point’s energetic signal.

  • Fire Cupping: 30 minute session

Warmed glass jars are placed on lubricated skin to ensure smooth placement of each cup. Typically applied to the back, but cups can also be placed on the arms, legs, stomach and face. The theory behind cupping is to move stagnant Qi, Blood and Fluids. This helps to relax tight tense muscles and support Acupuncture Treatments as well as energetically detoxify the body.

    Gua Sha:

The skin is lubricated to ensure there is a smooth glide with a Gua Sha tool. Gua Sha is applied to the face, neck, acupuncture channels and tight muscles. The theory behind Gua Sha is to induce redness on the skin, by quickly rubbing the skin in a specific area. This brings blood to the area and helps to open acupuncture channels.

Facial Gua Sha is a more gentle version of scraping. The idea here is to reduce puffiness and swelling by draining the sinuses and lymph. It also can help to release tight muscles that are causing wrinkles to form.

  • Includes: facial gua sha, 25 minute session- must come with clean skin

    Red Light Therapy

Helps to increase collagen, heal wounds faster and decrease inflammation. When combined with microneedling, red LED therapy’s effectiveness is multiplied.

    Blue Light Therapy

Helps to eliminate bacteria and excess oils. This ensures that pores do not get clogged after a microneedling treatment.

    Yellow Light therapy

As we do not want micro scar tissue to form after microneedling, applying yellow LED light helps to combat that from happening. This ensures quick healing, allowing fibroblasts to continue laying down collagen.
